You gotta love Tony. This guy was the DJ’s DJ before most of us were able to walk. He’s put out more hits than the 1997 Yankees and continues to work hard to this very day. Tony was a resident at Club Zanzibar in New Jersey in the 80′s; a club that never gets its props because it was not in Manhattan. Tony also had a radio show on Kiss FM running through the 80′s after Shep Pettibone had moved on to other things (including some seminal remixes for the likes of Madonna). Tony to most though is known for what we read are some of the best clubbing nights ever at the Ministry of Sound with DJ’s like David Morales and Larry Levan. But Tony has never ever lost his roots in New York and continues to play here consistently. We found a great interview with Tony done earlier this year by Faithfanzine where he talks about why New York is NOT dead (a phrase that is just wrong). Head over to the interview by clicking here.
