It looks like our beloved Studio B might be closing its doors once again, but this time for good. We had reported here a few times that the club was facing a possible closure, but they had managed to stay open. The club has been fighting with neighbors and the community board ever since they opened up their roof to club goers. Neighbors complained of excessive noise, garbage piling up out front, and underage drinking just to name a few.
Just last week, the North Brooklyn Community Board 1 recommended that Studio B's liquor license not be renewed. If Studio B's license was not to be renewed, this will all but cripple the club as it relies heavily on alcohol sales to support the rent and pay the staff. Studio B has not shot back yet, but when we hear, you'll be sure to hear.
