Red Bull has announced an event that is sure to catch the eyes of clubbers old and new alike. Dubbed “Revolutions in Sound,” the night will feature 30 clubs new and old and the resident DJ’s who made those clubs what they became and have become. Some have been shuttered for years while others such as Motion have only been open for a year or two. The clubs invited to play include the legendary Hacienda (Fac 51 to those who know Factory Records), Shoom, Fabric, Cream (who remembers those Seb Fontaine mix CD’s from the late 90’s?), The End (no Steve Lawler announced yet), and more.
Red Bull Music Academy returns to the EDF Energy London Eye for an epic celebration of UK club culture. Every capsule will see one legendary club night come alive with the original line-up of resident DJs and superstar guests, from Shoom to Fabric, Gilles Peterson to Lily Allen. You can join the party via the world’s first simultaneous live stream of 30 stages and more than 80 artists. And it gets even better: Selected clubbers get a chance to join their favourite capsule. Be the first to know when ticketing starts on 10th October.
The selection process for obtaining tickets is simply to enter on the website when they are released and if you are selected, you donate a certain denomination to a charity of Red Bull’s choice. As Sasha has put it, it looks to be a “right laugh.”
You can check out the DJ’s and clubs invited by going over to the Red Bull Revolutions In Sound website (link below).
