Larry Levan’s Remixes Now Available On Traxsource

Although the release date says 1999 (before Traxsource was even around), we were browsing around the website and noticed West End has released 9 of Larry’s greatest remixes in high quality format.  Surely this will piss off the vinyl enthusiast I bought 3 copies of this record in 1984 at Danceateria people, but it’s great for everyone else who has wanted to own a piece of history without having some half assed poor quality MP3.  It’s a true shame Larry was taken so young.

Ministry Of Sound Live And Remastered 20th Anniversary 5 CD Box Set

We always try to give the heads up with we find something dope, whether it be music, clothing, or anything else cool cultured.  Ministry Of Sound celebrated their 20th birthday this past weekend with a party on Sunday with a pretty kick ass lineup consisting of Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, CJ Mackintosh, and more.  To keep it going, MOS is releasing a 5 CD box set with live remastered recordings of DJ’s who have played at the club over the years including Larry Levan, David Morales, Todd Terry, Kenny Carpenter, and Justin Berkmann.  The box set comes with original artwork and a booklet full of info and photos of the club over the years.  Definitely a really cool piece to have in your collection if you great up listening to dance music in the 90′s, even if you never made it to MOS.
