Little Dragon recently stopped by the Moog studios in North Carolina to reinvent their track “Little Man” off their latest Ritual Union album. The session was recorded during Moogfest 2011, and though unfortunately Little Dragon’s bassist was sick and couldn’t make it, their soundman filled in doing the bass parts using a Moog Little Phatty. Little Dragon front woman Yukimi Nagano sings through an Analog Delay Moogerfooger which sounds awesome, as well as keyboards being replaced with Minimoog Voyagers. Check out the video. Read more »

All hail Robert Moog. And for those of you that aren’t tech geeks let us explain… Robert Moog is the person mostly responsible for 3/4 of the electronic music you heard in the 80′s and 90′s. You see, Moog (the pretty synthesizer on our home page banner is a Minimoog) created some of the best hardware synths available at that time. Whether it was Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Yaz, Depeche Mode, or O.M.D., the computeristic sounds you heard back then were probably orchestrated from one Moog or another.
