We’ve been collecting cover-mount CD’s from the likes of Muzik and Mixmag Magazines for years, as they offered a way to hear DJ’s mixes when there was no such thing as SoundCloud and Mixcloud.  Some of the mixes that came out then have turned into quasi-classics with the message boards that trade live radio sets.  It’s a surprise to see though that Sasha will finally be doing his first for Mixmag magazine later this year. Sasha’s always at the forefront of the scene and this time, he had someone along to capture it on video. Ourmaninthefield recorded Sasha’s set at the Warehouse Project last year and edited it into 20 minutes before uploading it to YouTube.  Nothing groundbreaking (and it was uploaded a few months ago), but still pretty cool to watch Sasha at work.

Sasha Never Say Never Weekly

Sasha came out this week to announce his bi-weekly party at Ushuaia in Ibiza.  The Never Say Never party which started as a boat party during the Winter Music Conference, has turned into a full blown affair where Sasha gets to play music outside the dark club atmosphere and play tracks he otherwise would not have a chance to showcase to a peak hour packed dance floor. Sasha Remix Contest

This summer Burn Studios will team up with legendary DJ and producer Sasha and electronic music portal Beatport to search for the most exiting, up-and-coming music producers from across Europe. Fourteen talented electronic music stars of the future will win the chance to take part in an exclusive production bootcamp at the Burn Studios Hacienda in Ibiza, with mentoring from some of the industry’s leading names including world-renowned DJ and technology maverick Richie Hawtin and pioneering DJ and producer Sasha. The overall winner of the competition will then be flown to New York to collaborate with Sasha on the first release from his forthcoming, much-anticipated third artist album. Read more »
