Honestly for me, the mixer doesn't make a whole lot of difference, but maybe it's because I don't mix on systems that have really good sound for the most part. I do like the knobs on the RANE, I've only used a UREI once or twice, but I work with all kinds and you can make anything sound good if you know what you're doing. I was a hip-hop DJ for many years and learned with slides so I'm very comfortable with those and have one at home. Wish I could afford something better, but that's how it is. The most important thing to me is individual controls (lows, mids, and highs) for each channel.

Rane worked great here, and A/B'd next to an Allen and Heath, the A&H sounds like a total piece of shit!! What to Brits know about mixers :P I want 4 18's for my dj console too!! haaa Nothing like a good ball massage while dj'ing... |
